Energy Performance Certificates

On the 21st May 2010 Home Information Packs were suspended by the government with immediate effect.
However, Energy Performance Certificates are still compulsory and it is a legal requirement for all properties being sold or rented to have an EPC in place.
What is an Energy Performance Certificate?
An Energy Performance Certificate will rate the property according to its energy efficiency on a scale from A to G
Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) contain:
-Information on your home's energy use and carbon dioxide emissions
-A recommendation report with suggestions to reduce energy use and carbon dioxide emissions.
